The requirements for this position are as follows:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must complete lifeguard training exercises (swimming test)
  • Must be certified in CPR and First Aid

SALARY:    $7.25

Title SEASONAL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I
Location RECREATION MAINTENANCE
Job Information

An opening for the position of SEASONAL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I exists in the Recreation Maintenance Division of the Parks & Recreation Department.  This is a seasonal position.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Knowledge in proper use of commercial mowers, weedeaters, tractors /bushhogs, power & hand tool safety, and maintenance of vehicles and other equipment
  • Knowledge of ball field maintenance
  • Ability to lift heavy garbage and debris
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to follow departmental and City policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions
  • Valid Mississippi driver’s license
  • Salary:         $7.25 per hour
