Software Upgrades to Interrupt City Business

In January, the City of Laurel will update its business operations software. Because of this update, on January 14^th and 15^th, 2025, city employees will be unable to process utility payments, employment applications, licenses and permits, or any other payments or applications on these two days.

Those who need to pay a bill or submit an application will need to do so before January 14^th or plan to do so after January 15^th. This interruption will not affect emergency services or other city services such as trash pickup or water services.

The City of Laurel, established as a lumber town in 1882, is conveniently situated approximately two hours from larger destination cities such as Jackson, Biloxi, New Orleans, and Mobile.
