Sheee's here!!! The Christmas tree for this week's tree lighting ceremony arrived in Pinehurst Park early Monday morning and was installed by members of the city's maintenance department.
The tree lighting event will be held on Friday, December 3rd at 6 p.m. Afterwards, at 7:00 p.m., the annual Sertoma Christmas parade will begin at the Sawmill Square Mall.
The City of Laurel, established as a lumber town in 1882, is conveniently situated approximately two hours from larger destination cities such as Jackson, Biloxi, New Orleans, and Mobile. In recent years, the city has become a destination all its own thanks, in part, to its starring role in HGTV’s popular “Hometown” series.
