Bingo at the Library is fun for the whole family that won't break the bank. Cards are $1.00 each with a limit of five. Show your Laurel-Jones County Library card and receive a free bingo card. Concessions will be available for purchase during the event. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Super Smash Brothers Tournament

Tweens and teens are invited to participate in the Super Smash Brothers Tournament at the Laurel-Jones County library. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the event is open to players ages 10-17. The last player standing wins a prize! (Gaming equipment will be provided by the library.)

The Laurel-Jones County Black History Museum and Arts welcomes U.S. Congressman Mike Ezell. Ezell will present a flag flown over the United States Capitol to the Laurel-Jones County Black History Museum and Arts in Honor of Black History Month.

The City of Laurel, established as a lumber town in 1882, is conveniently situated approximately two hours from larger destination cities such as Jackson, Biloxi, New Orleans, and Mobile. In recent years, the city has become a destination all its own thanks, in part, to its starring role in HGTV’s popular “Hometown” series. As Laurel, and interest in it, continues to grow, we are committed to providing the resources necessary to help all of our residents and businesses reach their full potential.
