Laurel Mayor Johnny Magee proclaims day of prayer in City of Laurel

On Monday April 17th, Laurel Mayor Johnny Magee signed a proclamation for the City-Wide Prayer Conference Team of Laurel/Jones County and Surrounding Areas to proclaim Sunday, April 23, 2023 as a day for Prayer, Praise & Worship, Healing & Deliverance.

 The proclamation read as follows:

Service of Prayer, Praise & Worship, Healing & Deliverance

WHEREAS, the City-Wide Prayer Conference Team of Laurel/Jones County and Surrounding Areas is in its 11th year of service to the area communities; and

 WHEREAS, this group will host a Service of Prayer, Praise & Worship, Healing & Deliverance on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 4 PM at the L.T. Ellis Center in Laurel; and

 WHEREAS, the City-Wide Prayer Conference Team of Laurel/Jones County and Surrounding Areas has expanded its ministry beyond the four walls of the church to sponsor “Praise in the Park” at KC Park and desires to reach all citizens in the community through its ministry; and

WHEREAS, it is a necessary and worthy endeavor to seek the Lord’s blessing through prayer, praise and worship of our Lord God Almighty, and the ministry of the City-Wide Prayer Conference Team of Laurel/Jones County and Surrounding Areas is an important element of this community’s spiritual health

 NOW, THEREFORE, I, Johnny Magee, Mayor of the City of Laurel, do hereby proclaim Sunday, April 23, 2023 as a day of Prayer, Praise, Worship, Healing and Deliverance in the City of Laurel and encourage all citizens to join together with others throughout the area to thank and praise God for His blessings and to petition Him for spiritual and physical healing and deliverance for those so burdened and to spread His love and joy to all those with whom we encounter.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, I HAVE HEREUNTO SET MY HAND AND CAUSED THE SEAL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MISSISSIPPI, TO BE AFFIXED THIS THE   23rd    DAY OF    APRIL   , A.D. 2023.
