Laurel, Miss. – Dec. 2, 2024 – On the first Sunday of December, more than 100 guests of all ages celebrated the start of the Christmas season by attending the inaugural South Central Health Care Foundation’s Teddy Bear Tea.

The event, which was held at South Central Place, featured a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, photos with Santa, various treats along with tea and hot cocoa, cookie decorating, reindeer food stations and a commemorative South Central teddy bear for each child to keep. Proceeds from the event will benefit the South Central Health Care Foundation.

“We are so excited to offer this festive, family-friendly event here in Laurel,” said South Central Health Care Foundation Director, Kaitlin Bossier. “We hope that attending the Teddy Bear Tea becomes a family tradition for years to come.”

The proceeds from this event will benefit the South Central Health Care Foundation and further its mission to serve community members by providing health screenings, support groups, community assistance and healthcare educational opportunities.

In recent years, the city has become a destination all its own thanks, in part, to its starring role in HGTV’s popular “Hometown” series. As Laurel, and interest in it, continues to grow, we are committed to providing the resources necessary to help all of our residents and businesses reach their full potential.
