The South Central Health Care Foundation, the philanthropic branch of South Central Regional Medical Center, is excited to announce an exciting line-up of fall fundraising opportunities including the recently held Pickleball for Pediatrics tournament, the annual Holston Memorial Golf Tournament and the second annual South Central Health Care Foundation Clay Shoot.

The clay shoot will take place at Bar 3 Range on Nov. 8. This event is also presented by Community Bank, but other sponsorship opportunities are still available.

These events are not only fun but also deeply impactful because the earnings support the foundation’s community outreach initiatives such as health screenings, support groups, community assistance and healthcare educational opportunities throughout our service area, which includes Smith, Jasper, Jones and Wayne counties.

“The Health Care Foundation could not exist without the ardent support and generous monetary contributions of the community,” said SCRMC Health Care Foundation Strategist, Kaitlin Bossier. “One of the benefits of supporting the South Central Health Care Foundation is that the funds you donate to our organization stay here in our service area. They help make Laurel and the surrounding communities a better, healthier place to live.”

Individuals or businesses who wish to sponsor or participate in the golf tournament or clay shoot will need to register ahead of time by contacting Kaitlin Bossier via email at Kaitlin.bossier@scrmc.com or by phone at 601-399-0503.

The Health Care Foundation is focused on its goal to help facilitate excellent care for the whole community, and they would greatly appreciate any support.

The City of Laurel, established as a lumber town in 1882, is conveniently situated approximately two hours from larger destination cities such as Jackson, Biloxi, New Orleans, and Mobile. In recent years, the city has become a destination all its own thanks, in part, to its starring role in HGTV’s popular “Hometown” series. As Laurel, and interest in it, continues to grow, we are committed to providing the resources necessary to help all of our residents and businesses reach their full potential.
